As you approach the energised line, the receiver will show an arrow icon indicating which direction the signal is coming from.

As you move closer to your intended target you will see a pictorial representation of the object under test appear on one, or the other, side of the display screen...
Pinpointing
To pinpoint the target pipe or cable simply centre the line image into the crosshairs and the depth to the service will also automatically appear in the upper right hand corner. The field strength will appear in the upper left hand corner; a strong indication increases your confidence in the target's location.
